ARTHUR RUBINSTEIN (1887-1982): The Polish-American Rubinstein is, like Richter, regarded as one of the greatest pianists of all time. He is also considered one of the greatest Chopin interpreters of all time. Born in Poland, he was recognised as a child prodigy by age 4. He had his debut at 7 and gave his first performance with the Berlin Philharmonic at 13.
