Something Different
I am not a quilter (sorry grandma, you tried). Nor do I profess to know anything about it except that I know a work of beauty when I see it and these extraordinary fabric designs by Fujiyama Nobu are just too luscious to refuse.
Search as I might, both ChatGPT and I were stumped on finding much about Nobu Fujiyama, except that he is (was?) a contemporary Nihonga (Japanese style) artist and fabric designer whose designs for the fabric and quilting industries are renowned for their intricate patterns, vibrant colours and metallic details, blending mythical themes with traditional motifs. It seems his work was particularly associated with Kona Bay Fabrics which closed its doors in 2017.
Now you know as much as I do. Feast your eyes, and just imagine it in gorgeous, flowing fabric. Or as a quilt. Or wallpaper. Or anything!
